What if it rains?
We always define two different set ups for every event we do–one for fair weather (Plan A) and one for foul (Plan B). If rain is likely in the forecast, then we set up using Plan B. For residential parties this usually consists of putting our service area into an available garage stall and placing the oven in the driveway nearby. The service area needs to be (mostly) indoors and sheltered from the wind, but the oven can remain in the rain without negative effects. It just needs to be located as closely as possible to the service area. Defining these set ups is generally our first order of business after we receive the deposit.
What’s your footprint at my event?
We set up a 12′ x 12′ tent that covers all of the equipment we use to prepare and serve our food. Depending on the size of your event, we may use one or more ovens that each are approximately 4′ x 3′ x 5′ (length, width, height). These oven(s) must be located adjacent to the service tent. Finally, we use a generator to furnish power to the equipment we use in our service area. It’s about 2′ by 2′. It’s quiet for a generator, but it still makes noise, so we enclose it with materials to deflect the sound away from the event. We usually locate it wherever it causes the least disruption, and we run an extension cord to it for power.
Do I need to provide you with electricity?
Most of our customers prefer to supply us with electricity to avoid the noise that comes from our generator. Our power requirements are very low, and we have yet to trip a circuit shared with other large equipment. When we do run our generator, we do our best to place it in a location that will be minimally disruptive to the event, and we surround it with materials to help deflect the sound away from the event.
Do I need to provide you with water?
No, you do not need to provide us with water. We are completely self-sufficient and transport all of the water we need to each event.
Do you need to drive a vehicle on my lawn?
No, we do not need to drive a vehicle on your lawn. We have a very portable set up, and we can hand carry or wheel all of our equipment without effect.
Do you offer pizza catering all year?
Our onsite pizza service is typically available in the warmer months, generally late April through early November. If you’re interested in mobile pizza catering during the winter and early spring, contact us to discuss.
How big are your pizzas?
We hand make each pizza on site, so size varies slightly, but each pizza is usually 10″-12″ in diameter.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, check, money-order, and credit. For credit payments, we assess an additional surcharge (3.5% + $0.15) to cover payment processing, which will appear on the final invoice
How do you bill?
During the pre-sales process we will create or more estimated invoices for you, according to your preferences and desired menu options. We typically email this to customers. The invoices contain a detailed breakdown of all of the catering costs for you event including the deposit required to book your event and the remaining balance due on the day of the event. In the lead up to your event, you will have the opportunity to make minor changes to menu selections. Your estimated invoice will contain the cut-off date to make these changes. Once your menu has been finalized, we will send you a final invoice. The full balance will be due on the day of your event.
What happens to my deposit if I cancel?
As long as you provide us with 60 days advanced notice, we will refund your deposit entirely. With 45 days advanced notice, we will refund 50% of your deposit. With 30 days advanced notice, we will refund 25% of your deposit.
